Miu Miu Wants 'The Truthless Times' Era Of Fashion To Vanish For S/S 2025
Cutesy dresses, a variety of body warmers and a multitude of accessories are what Miu Miu presented during their Spring/Summer 2025 collection on Monday afternoon during Paris Fashion Week.
Miuccia Prada, creative director of Miu Miu and Prada, has just shown her Prada S/S 2025 collection at Milan Fashion Week. Now, it’s turn for Miuccia’s brand to show PFW what the brand has in store for a giant market and a greater audience.
The runway had newspapers rotating around the room and screens that projected a newspaper printer. Guests received their own “The Truthless Times” newspaper along with a box that was labeled ‘Salt Looks Like Sugar’ that encased two blocks of Miu Miu branded sugar and salt.
American singer and actress Addison Rae, American media personality Alix Earle, American singer-songwriter Camila Cabello, American actress Shailene Woodley and German fashion model Nara Smith were some of the attendees at the show.
Rose Kidman-Urban, daughter of Australian-American power couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, made her runway debut and opened the show by wearing a black and white tank top, a simple white shirt and skirt set that connects by buttons, dark gray ‘Miu Miu’ branded leg warmers that are placed on the ankles and open-toe black pumps with white piping.
This clean yet dreamy look is what the brand is known for and they know how to do it quite well.
Windbreaker trench coats, models holding handbags in interesting ways and the pantless look are prominent on the runway.
English rapper Little Simz is the embodiment of Miu Miu and Look 10 fits her well. A navy blue quarter-zip shirt, a nylon beige jacket with navy blue, a brown suede handbag, white shorts and gray, orange, neon green and turquoise sneakers are mismatched and make no sense at all. But, that’s what makes Miu Miu so special.
Wrap-around tops, sweater vests with collared shirts and upper-arm bracelets made their way down the printing press room along with cut-out dresses, belts on belts on belts and thong sandals.
Representing Look 35 is none other than English model Cara Delevingne. While walking down the runway, the model looks around the room while sporting a red zip-up sweater, a patent leather blazer and skirt, a ribbed gray foot warmer and studded patent brown leather sandals.
70’s inspired sunglasses, quilted handbags and a variety of sequins are fun, creative and cute.
Brazilian model Eduarda Vieira makes her way down the runway while wearing chunky orange sunglasses, a white undershirt, a messy blue button-up top, a rich dark brown suede jacket, a light brown handbag, a yellow and silver-chain belt, Patton brown skirt, knee-high black cut-out socks and open-toed gold pumps.
Vieira’s walk and presence at the show make Look 58 ready to give the newsroom a fashionable rebrand. But, someone was ready to spark up the runway and make the fashion press ready to write.
American actor Willem Dafoe closed the show by wearing a white collared shirt, a navy blue sweater vest, a marine blue trench coat, gray trousers and Patton black loafers with the ‘Miu Miu’ logo on the tongue of the show.
As models walk for the finale, the brand’s message is clear; fashion is becoming truthless and powered by algorithms that push the same ideas to the masses. At Miu Miu, dressing in your style and being fearless about it is what matters and represents house codes.
Miuccia wears a gold-buttoned red coat, a pink button-up shirt, black slacks and a pair of brown silk pumps.
Overall, this 68-look collection was dynamic, inventive and eclectic. Miuccia Prada knows how to differentiate brand aesthetics from merging into one idea. As Miu Miu continues to reach more demographics and groups, it will be important to develop ideas into something new and fresh and I do not doubt that Miuccia Prada will succeed in that field.
