Movers and Shakers: Zoe, Multimedia Team Member for STITCH

Meet Zoe, Northwestern junior and multimedia team member for STITCH.

What’s your personal style?

I’ve transitioned into wearing a lot more street-style in the past year or so. The majority of my closet is made up of sweatshirts and sneakers and I just keep on buying more...it’s kind of bad. I take a lot of inspiration from surf and skate culture but when the warm weather rolls in, my California roots show with flowy tops, cut-offs and my trusty Birkenstocks.

Why’d you join STITCH?

Even before going to Northwestern, I had my eye on STITCH. I’ve always loved clothing and its ability to give you confidence and push the boundaries of your identity. I also had a film production background so the magazine felt like a perfect fit. Three years later I’m still loving it and have definitely grown my style and as a person because of it.

How else do you contribute to the NU community?

I’m on programming for Mayfest where we plan hype events for the weeks leading up to Dillo in addition to designing the layout and art for the lakefill. I’m also the Vice President of Communications for Pi Beta Phi where I get to express creativity through outlets like social media, merch designs and branding.

What’s your game day outfit of choice?

This year I caved and got matching cheerleader skirts with a couple of my friends. Basic, I know. I’ll probably pair it with either a long sleeve Northwestern shirt or a crop top, plain black converse and a hair bow!
