My Favorite Outfits From Coachella 2023

It’s true that Coachella isn’t what it used to be.
In fact, TikTok star Loren Gray dubbed it the “influencer Olympics” before exposing that many content creators lie about attending just to make “get ready with me” and “ootd” videos for their social media accounts. This year, Revolve, Guess and Poosh among others, set up literal camp at the Indio, California desert site, bringing with them an army of influencers to enjoy the festival and promote their products. Many are lamenting the descent of what used to be a genuine celebration of music into capitalist chaos, with accusations of the “FAKE” Coachella spreading even farther than the 642 acre grounds.
But some things never truly change -- the incredible performances, the surprise appearances (i.e., Zendaya popping out to perform “All for Us” with Labyrinth), and most of all, the innovative outfits. Let’s take a peek at some of the standout looks from the Coachella 2023 attendees (Yes, these people were actually there):
1. Saweetie
The “My Type” artist looks like a Western daydream in the “Phoebe” top from Poster Girl and custom leather pants by Stinton Huas.

2. Rickey Thompson
Saweetie commented, “😮💨😮💨😮💨” on this pic, which I guess speaks for itself.

3. Tasha Ghouri
The cowgirl look from Thrifts + Threads and Ebay goes hard, but the lasso-like braided pony stole the show.

4. Renee Herbert
Renee brought balletcore to the desert, and I’m thankful for it.

7. Amy Julliette Lefévre
It’s the details for me -- the tulle, the hat, the bejeweled pops of color make this outfit too good to be true.

8. Evan Mock
Normalize camo and diamond.

9. Briana Shaneé
The MATTE Brand creator proved you really can’t go wrong with brown leather this year, especially if it's touched by designer LaQuan Smith.
