STITCH's Guide to the Grammy Awards

The 2017 Grammys delivered nothing less than drama, extreme fashion, and breathtaking performances. Whether you’re #TeamAdele or #TeamBeyonce, there’s no doubt that Adele breaking that Grammy in half was an emotional moment for everyone.

In typical Grammys fashion, the stars tested fashion limits, wearing everything from a gold mask and gown to a barely-there jacket. Below is a round-up of the best and worst looks from the award show.

I will begin on a high note with the queen herself. Bey’s performance dress was jaw-dropping. The embroidery, the self-portrait, the head piece, the tummy—it’s pure perfection. Even though she did not win for Album of the Year, she gave one hell of a performance and looked absolutely stunning on stage.

Another one of my favorites was Demi Lovato. The dress fits her beautifully and brings out the natural glow in her skin. Her long, wavy hair matches the understated makeup, tying the whole look together.

Chrissy Teigen also slayed the red carpet in a curve hugging, black cut-out dress. Her post-baby body is ridiculous and this dress highlights that. She may have gotten a little too drunk at the show, but her fashion never fails to impress.

Next is Lady Gaga. Personally, I was very amused by this outfit. This is the Gaga that we know and love. If anyone can pull off extreme underboob, it’s Lady Gaga. The fact that she has the guts to walk the red carpet half naked earns her points in my book.

I’m not sure how I feel about Adele’s dress. Her hair and makeup look beautiful, as usual, but I really can’t stand the color of her dress. I’m not a huge fan of the color green and that is pretty much my least favorite shade. I will say that the shape of the dress looks great on her, but that color does nothing for her.

As the worst dressed of the night, Cee Lo Green was a sight to be seen. Yes, the Grammys is the time to experiment with fashion on the red carpet, but I’m just confused. It’s not like his outfit was interesting or cool, it was just weird and freaky. I will give him credit for creativity, however.

Compared to the fashion from the SAG Awards, the celebs really stepped up their game. From insane embroidery to major cutouts, the red carpet featured both beauty and surprise. And that is exactly what the Grammys red carpet should be.
