Trend forecasters weren’t going easy on us this year when they predicted, and have been proven correct, that the color yellow is HUGE for this spring/summer season. Whether this fills you with excitement or makes your skin crawl with fear, don’t worry! I’ve totally got you covered.

It's no secret that trying to incorporate yellow into your wardrobe can be a tricky task, but I have a few tips on how to make it as seamless as possible. Now, I’m not telling you to throw out your spring florals (groundbreaking) or your favorite millennial pink dress and go full- blown Big Bird. However, livening up your spring wardrobe and taking a few risks might be fun as the weather heats up and the quarter comes to a close.

First, if the whole yellow thing just seems like too much, you could dip your toe into the water by experimenting with another spring trend – mustard! It kind of counts because mustard is a hue of yellow, right? Either way, mustard is an easier way to test the trend while still remaining ever-so-fashionable. Whether it’s a plain T-shirt or a cute pair of sweatpants, mustard can be and should be your new best friend this spring.

If mustard seems like the easy way out, but you are still hesitant about fully embracing the yellow lifestyle, try yellow nail polish. Not only are yellow nails fun for the warmer months, but having that bright of a nail color is truly an extra accessory to every outfit. I promise you that you will receive an unprecedented amount of compliments on your fresh manicure. Plus, if you go for neon yellow nails you will be hitting two HUGE summer trends in one!

Now, if you are ready and willing to go full force with yellow, but are unsure on how to seamlessly incorporate it, I have some final tips. Next time you go shopping for a few spring floral pieces, pick the one with yellow flowers instead of baby blue. Next time you need a new plain T-shirt to throw on with jean shorts, opt for the cute shade of yellow instead of the plain white one. And next time you are at Brandy Melville picking between the black graphic hoodie and the bright yellow one, most definitely pick the yellow one! Little choices like these make a big difference!

Whether you are ready to rock a yellow dress to your little brother’s middle school graduation or just ordered a pack of yellow scrunchies on Amazon Prime, enjoy the trend while it lasts! Who knows what next summer will bring us?
