Alexander McQueen Gets Sued Over The Royal Wedding Dress

Everyone still talks about the custom Alexander McQueen gown Kate Middleton wore for her wedding in 2011. Now, Christine Kendall, a london-based designer, is bringing it back into the limelight by suing McQueen for copying one of her designs. According to fashionista.com, Kendall claims that she showed Middleton her sketches and assumes they were used by McQueen for inspiration.

McQueen has released a statement regarding the lawsuit and explained that Kendall’s claims have been persisting for years:

“We are utterly baffled by this legal claim. Christine Kendall first approached us at Alexander McQueen almost four years ago, when we were clear with her that any suggestion Sarah Burton's design of the royal wedding dress was copied from her designs was nonsense. Sarah Burton never saw any of Ms Kendall's designs or sketches and did not know of Ms Kendall before Ms Kendall got in touch with us — some 13 months after the wedding. We do not know why Ms Kendall has raised this again, but there are no ifs, buts or maybes here: this claim is ridiculous.”

Rachel Roy Accused Of Being “Becky With The Good Hair”

Designer Rachel Roy posted an Instagram that made people think she is the woman Beyonce refers to throughout her album Lemonade. Multiple songs on the album allude to Jay-Z cheating on her and in the song “Sorry,” Beyonce addresses a mistress as “Becky with the good hair.”

Shortly after Lemonade premiered, Roy posted a photo of herself with the caption: “good hair don’t care, but we will take lighting, for selfies, or self-truths, always. Live in the light #nodramaqueens.” She quickly deleted the photo after Beyonce fans verbally attacked her over social media. Roy responded on Twitter with a tweet that read, “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.”

Roy furthered her explanation in an exclusive interview with People and said, “I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that. There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors.”

Dyson’s New Blow-Dryer Lets You Dry Your Hair In Silence

Dyson announced that it has created a revolutionary blow-dryer, after four years of engineers and designers toiling away. Called the Dyson Supersonic, the blow-dryer will completely change your hair-drying experience--engineers figured out a way to make the tone in the motor beyond audible range for humans. The dryer is also unique in that the motor is located in the handle instead of the head, making it lighter and smaller than most dryers, and with stronger airflow, it will dry your super fast.

The Dyson Supersonic will be available at retailers in the fall, at a costly price of $399.
