What Do We Think?

Fashion can be a statement, an expression or simply something so you don’t leave your home naked. We took to Instagram polls to collect your style opinions. This is what you told us! 

In a world where you can be loud, subtle, creative, trendy, sentimental or sparkly, why do you choose to portray yourself in this way? I wear a sentimental necklace with charms from each significant person in my life so that I feel the support system I can’t physically see. I feel better walking through my day with that necklace on. What we wear is thoughtful and purposeful: what do we think?

We recognize identity in many capacities, do we think our fashion, style, makeup – the way we present ourselves to the world – counts? 

The largest percentage of consensus in the survey was an agreement that fashion is part of our identities. We determine how we would like to present, we have ideas about how we want to be seen, and we all have light-bulb moments when we see that piece that is utterly and simply us.
