Movers and Shakers: Sam, Director of Social Media for STITCH

Meet Sam, Northwestern sophomore and director of social media for STITCH.

What’s your personal style?

Honestly, right now my personal style is more of a jean shorts and a t-shirt kind of look, but when we get to the winter it turns into classy-casual. I would say however that my personal style isn’t where I want it to be right now and I’d love to be buying Burberry or Versace. Right now, though, it’s H&M and Gap for me! One day when I’m a powerful journalist I’ll be decked out in expensive clothing.

Why’d you join STITCH?

I joined STITCH because fashion is my passion and I would like to work for Vogue one day. Also, the people working on STITCH are my kind of people. They’re committed, strong and ready to take on the world.

How else do you contribute to the NU community?

I’m an RA up in Elder and I’m also involved in theater around campus. Currently I’m working on Stop Kiss with WAVE Productions and Macbeth with Lovers & Madmen.

What’s your best Insta-flow advice?

Pick a color, pick a filter and stick with it. That’s the most important thing to make a ~beautiful~ Instagram. We try to have a blue base and we’re still trying to find that perfect filter. But, we’re well on our way. Also, make your captions fun! Don’t just put the city and date, put something that’s relatable and creative.
