Movers and Shakers: Juliet, Corporate Team Member for STITCH
Meet Juliet, Northwestern sophomore and corporate team member for STITCH.
What’s your personal style?
My style is ever evolving, but I wear almost exclusively neutrals and pseudo-neutrals. I’m super into colors like burgundy, charcoal and olive that go with anything! When shopping, I always look for dressed-up basics like t-shirts with strappy necklines, sweaters with patches or embroidered/lace-up jeans. At the moment, I’m loving the distressed trend.
Why’d you join STITCH?
As most freshmen, I was overwhelmed (to say the least) by the club fair, but then I stumbled upon STITCH – a beacon of light. Two trendily dressed girls stood over a table of beautifully designed magazines, and I knew I found my place! Coming to Northwestern from the NYC fashion scene with a background in graphic design, I was equally in awe of the magazine’s styling and layout.
How else do you contribute to the NU community?
I love being busy (it keeps me sane I swear)!! In addition to being a part of the STITCH family, I am on the executive board of UNITY, Northwestern University’s charity fashion show. I get to plan promotional events, design graphics and work with Evanston businesses to put together our show in the spring. I am also interested in marketing, so I’m involved in Mark, ISBE’s marketing group, and I am the VP of Marketing for my business fraternity. Oh, and I help manage Spoon NU’s Instagram because I need an excuse to scroll through #foodporn all day.
What’s one accessory you could not live without?
You will never spot me without my diamond choker or a pair of circle sunglasses.
